Frogs plant their hands

Frog-like hoppers now walk and hop on their hands too: hands land first, lift first, and the head stays off the floor.

· Changelog · Improved

Run2: a fluid bound with front legs that reach

The bounding run was rebuilt to flow: the body rises and falls on one smooth curve, the front legs stretch forward in the air, and four-legged creatures get good settings out of the box.

· Changelog · Improved

A walk that walks: natural speed, no jolt when the front feet land

Four-legged walks looked stiff and slow and shook when the front feet touched down. They now fold their paws, roll their shoulders and hips, and move at the speed their stride implies.

Copy and paste dials between creatures, and from the gallery

Copy one animation's dials, or a creature's whole feel, and paste them onto another creature. Makers can let others copy the dials of their public creatures.

· Changelog · Improved

Scorpions sting forward, and claw attacks swipe

The sting is now a real forward strike with its own dials, and ClawAttack swipes diagonally with alternating paws, three times by default.

· Changelog · New

The guided rig asks how many legs your creature has

Insects, spiders, crabs and scorpions come with two to six legs a side. The guided rig now asks, and builds exactly that many.

· Changelog · Fixed

Defeated no longer sinks through the floor

In every Defeated style the body went through the floor at the moment of impact, on every creature. It now stops at the floor and still bounces.

· Changelog · Fixed

Better rigs on AI-generated models, and shoulders where you put them

Models from AI generators skin cleanly, feet and toes sit flat on the ground, tails go all the way to the tip, and shoulders no longer slide into the chest.

· Changelog · Fixed

Sign-up form no longer disappears on a slow connection

Opening Sign up while the page was still loading could close the form as you typed.

· Changelog · Improved

Claws are not legs, and wings get a wrist

A clawed foot ends where the claws begin, hind legs bend at the back, and the guided rig can take a wing's wrist.

· Changelog · Improved

A tidy Animator Controller in Unity

The Unity importer lays out the controller it generates instead of Unity's diagonal staircase.

· Changelog · Improved

Guided rig, tested on twenty models it had never seen

We put twenty unseen creatures through the guided rig, looked at every result, and fixed what was wrong. Quick mode now also asks for the knee.

· Changelog · Improved

Your first rig: the next step is always on screen

We walked through the editor as someone who has never rigged anything and fixed every place where we got stuck.

· Changelog · Fixed

Chest beats stop at the chest

A gorilla-style chest beat drove both fists through the body. MonRig now measures where the torso's surface is and the fists stop there.

· Changelog · Improved

Yearly plans in the buy dialog, and your creatures are kept until you delete them

A Monthly | Yearly switch on the plans, new accounts that never lose a creature to a clock, and nothing unbaked in the gallery.

· Changelog · Fixed

Fins stay above the floor, legs stay in their skin

Two bake fixes found by re-baking every public creature at once.

· Changelog · Improved

Unity bridge: choose what an import brings in

Pick which files come into your Unity project, and re-bakes update the existing controller and folder.

· Changelog · New

Flight figures: loops, figure eights and tricks in the air

Creatures that fly, float or swim can fly circles, loops, figure eights and spirals, or twirl, flip and roll on the spot.

· Changelog · New

Eyes that close and a mouth that moves

Two new parts give a creature a face: eyelids that blink and close, and lips and mouth corners that follow the jaw.

· Changelog · Fixed

Jaws open downward

Every jaw used to open upward. A roar, a bite or a cry now drops the chin.
