Skin brush: full-red areas can be painted down
An area painted fully to one bone could not be changed: Subtract did nothing, and Soften often seemed to do nothing either. Both work now, and a stroke that changes nothing tells you why.
When an area belonged fully to one bone (all red in the weight view), the Skin brush could get stuck on it. Now:
- Subtract hands the weight on. Painting down a fully owned area gives that weight to the bone next to it, the nearest bone the surface around the brush already follows.
- Soften blends half a brush wide. Soften used to blend each point only with its direct neighbours, which on a dense mesh moved almost nothing. It now blends across half the brush's width, over the connected surface.
- No silent strokes. If a stroke cannot change anything, the hint bar says why.
