Bones bake exactly where you placed them

The bake had an "assisted" option that could move your bones, so the baked animations didn't always match the editor. It is gone: every bake uses your bones exactly as placed, and a moved bone always gets a new skin.

A creature could play differently in the Baked Preview than in the editor. Two causes, both fixed:

  • No more "bones: assisted". That option on the Bake tab let the bake symmetrize and adjust your bones, and on one creature it moved the leg roots by 46 cm. It's gone, and every bake now uses your bones exactly as you placed them.
  • A moved bone gets a new skin. If you moved bones and baked again, the bake could reuse the skin from the previous bake. It now notices the change and builds the skin again.

If an older bake looked different from your editor, bake it again.
