Rig and animate dinosaurs and reptiles online
MonRig rigs and animates raptors, T-rex, sauropods, triceratops, stegosaurs, lizards, turtles and crocodiles in the browser. Upload the mesh as FBX, GLB or OBJ, give it a skeleton (a starter skeleton you drag into place, a few clicked landmarks for Guided Rig, or Auto Rig's proposal), and every clip is generated from that skeleton, then baked as FBX and GLB for Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Blender or three.js. Rigging and previewing is free.
Body types
Theropod (two-legged dinosaur)
A horizontal two-legged walker, nose down, the tail swaying against the hips as a balance pole.
Starter skeletons: Raptor (standard), T-rex.
Sprawler (lizard, elbows-out)
An elbows-out four-legged gait with a sideways S-bend of the spine in time with the steps.
Starter skeletons: Lizard (standard), Turtle, Crocodile.
Also here: the Sauropod (long-neck dino), Triceratops and Stegosaur starter skeletons of the four-legged animals page, which walk on four legs.
Animations
A new creature here starts with these 16 clips, generated for its body type:
Optional clips that suit this anatomy (each one checks the rig and says what it needs, such as a tail, wings or a head):
Clip names stay the same on every re-bake, so an Animator state that points at Walk keeps working. Each clip has dials that change how it looks, from the gait to the tail carriage.
Before you upload
Two-legged hunters are theropods, with the tail as their balance pole; the big four-legged dinosaurs are four-legged walkers with their own starter skeletons; lizards and crocodiles sprawl. One creature per file, in a neutral pose; MonRig rebuilds the upload from its geometry, so an existing skeleton in the file is replaced.
No creature of these body types has been published yet; the first one you publish appears here.
