Humanoids: Auto stance, a T-pose question and real fists
A T-posed humanoid used to animate every clip with its arms out. MonRig now notices and offers to lower them, the feet come under the hips, fists close properly, and the walk gets a knee that gives.
Most humanoid models come in a T-pose, and every animation started from it, arms straight out. Now:
- The T-pose question. When you open Stance, Dials, Clips or Bake on a T-posed humanoid, MonRig asks once whether to auto-stance it. Keep the T-pose is remembered for that creature.
- 🧍 Auto stance on the Stance tab lowers the arms until they hang just clear of the body, with the elbows bent a little. The feet come under the hips, and the knees and toes point forward. The fingers relax and the palm faces down. It's written as your own stance, so you can tweak it with the rings, and ↺ all puts the modeled pose back.
- Fists work on T-posed hands. The fingers used to curl off to the side. Each hand now has one palm, and all fingers close into it.
- A more human walk. The shoulders now swing against the hips the right way round, and the body bobs in a smooth wave. A new dial, Knee give (suspension), lets the body sink onto each landing leg.
- Dragging a joint on Stance no longer turns the whole limb above it.
- The editor no longer saves on its own. Press Save to keep your work. Leaving with unsaved changes still asks first.
