Scorpions sting forward, and claw attacks swipe
The sting is now a real forward strike with its own dials, and ClawAttack swipes diagonally with alternating paws, three times by default.
Both came from our test scorpion.
The sting curled instead of striking. A scorpion's tail already arcs up and over the back, and the sting bent it further, into a ring: the barb hit the air behind the creature's head. The strike is now solved every frame, so the barb travels forward to its target while the tail keeps its own shape as much as it can. New dials:
- Reach, Strike height and Barb hook
- Wind-up, how far the body leans into the strike
- Stabs and the pause between stabs
Claw attacks looked like scratching at a door. A paw went forward and patted straight down, once. Paws and forward-pointing pincers now swipe on a diagonal path, from cocked up and out to across the front, with the body leading. By default it is three alternating swipes in quick succession; Claws (count), Pause between claws and Impact set the rhythm.
