Rotate parts with R

Press R in the editor to turn a selected part, like G moves and S scales it.

Select a part (or a few bones) and press R. Move the mouse around the part to turn it; click to apply, Esc to cancel.

  • It turns about the axis the view looks down, around the part's root.
  • With mirror on, the twin part turns as its exact reflection.
  • X, Y or Z locks the turn to that world axis; hold Ctrl to snap to 5° steps.
  • On a chain (a tail, a neck), R on a middle bone takes the bones below it along.
  • One click is one undo step.
